Job Overview The University of Alaska Fairbanks is accepting applications for openings as a Police Officer with the UAF Police Department. Police Officers are responsible for the safety and security of campus students, faculty, and staff, addressing traffic violations, conducting criminal investigations, and participating in community events. The department fosters a supportive, positive culture that encourages advancement and community engagement. Responsibilities Address traffic violations and enforce Alaska traffic laws. Conduct criminal investigations and maintain thorough records. Participate in community outreach and events. Stay knowledgeable of criminal statutes, UAF policies, and procedures. Maintain the high standards of the UAF Police Department. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Age 21 or older. U.S. citizen. Valid Alaska driver’s license or eligible to obtain one. No felony convictions. Meet all eligibility requirements of the Alaska Police Standard Council regulations under 13 AAC 85.010. Position Details Location: Troth Yeddha campus, Fairbanks. Full‑time, non‑exempt staff position. Salary grade 79 or 80, based on education and experience.
