Quality Inspector

Job Title: Quality Inspector Location: Torrance, CA Employment Type: Full‑Time Direct Hire Compensation: $25.00–$35.00 /hr DOE Schedule: 9x80, First Shift (starting at 6:00 AM) About Acara Solutions Acara is a premier recruiting and workforce solutions provider. Responsibilities Perform in‑process and final inspections per IPCJ‑STD‑001, IPC‑A‑610, customer specifications, and internal procedures. Inspect solder joints, SMT and through‑hole components, and mechanical assemblies using microscopes and precision measuring tools. Verify products meet drawings, specifications, work instructions, and manufacturing requirements. Review production documentation, maintain material traceability, and accurately record inspection results. Identify, document, and process nonconforming material (NCRs) and support root cause/corrective action activities. Use ERP/MES systems to complete inspection buy‑offs, retrieve documentation, and maintain audit‑ready records. Ensure compliance with ESD, FOD, safety, and quality standards. Qualifications 3+ years minimum experience with quality inspection of electronic and mechanical assemblies. 3+ years minimum experience with IPCJ‑STD‑001, IPC‑A‑610, ESD controls, and circuit board solder inspection. Proficient using microscopes, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools. Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation. Experience determining hardware compliance to specifications and quality standards. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and database systems. Experience with comparators or CMM is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
