Geotechnical Cad DesignerECS is currently hiring Geotechnical CAD Designer to our team in North Carolina. Our Special Projects Group focuses on larger, complex geotechnical engineering programs including transportation/highway design and other high visibility, mission-critical programs.Key Responsibilities:Produce geotechnical plan sheets using MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.Develop boring location plans, profiles, and geotechnical cross sections.Create pavement section details and embankment exhibits.Integrate subsurface exploration data into DOT roadway plan sets.Manage stationing, alignments, and profiles within the Bentley environment.Maintain DOT CAD standards, levels, and symbology for all deliverables.Coordinate with geotechnical and structural teams to ensure plan accuracy.Perform QA/QC checks on redline updates and file organization.Basic Qualifications:2 or more years of CAD design experience in transportation or infrastructureProficiency in Bentley MicroStation and/or OpenRoads DesignerProven experience supporting DOT projects and submittal requirementsAbility to interpret geotechnical reports and engineering sketchesStrong file management skills within multidisciplinary engineering environmentsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with geotechnical boring programs and exploration layoutsKnowledge of retaining wall or slope stabilization exhibitsPrior use of InRoads, Geopak, or Civil 3DHistory of working on design-build transportation projectsECS Group of Companies (ECS) was founded in 1988 with the goal to raise the standards of professional engineering consulting.
