American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Telemetry/MS unit position on night shift, requiring 2 years of experience and an active MI RN license.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry unit of an acute care teaching hospital
• Adult and geriatric patient population requiring MS/Tele and telemetry care
• Uses Epic for documentation
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:45pm-7:15am
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license (MI) currently in hand
• Current certification in BLS required; ACLS and CPI preferred
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele or Telemetry experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line care, and blood product administration preferred
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, and oxygen administration preferred

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry and medical-surgical nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms both on-unit and via remote telemetry
• Respond to rapid response and code team activations as needed
• Manage patients with post-MI conditions, cardiac catheterization, and renal failure
• Scrub color requirement: royal blue or white
