Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time New York State Patrol in Bronx, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support residents, visitors, and staff through exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the shelter location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and incidents according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
