Litigation Paralegal
LHH is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for an onsite contract opportunity with a respected law firm or corporate legal department. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation support experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment. This role will provide direct support to attorneys throughout all phases of the litigation process.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation from case inception through trial.
- Prepare, draft, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
- Manage and organize case files, exhibits, and litigation databases.
- Coordinate document production and discovery processes.
- Conduct legal research and gather case-related information.
- Review, summarize, and analyze medical records, deposition transcripts, and legal documents.
- Monitor court deadlines and maintain litigation calendars.
- Prepare trial binders, exhibits, witness files, and hearing materials.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors.
Support attorneys with trial preparation and courtroom logistics.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court filing requirements.
- Experience managing discovery, document review, and trial preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal Certificate or Associate/Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with e-filing in state and federal courts.
- Familiarity with legal case management and document management software.
- Prior experience supporting complex commercial, insurance defense, employment, or civil litigation matters.
