Radiation Therapist

Location: Columbia, SC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Job Description: The Radiation Therapist provides care for patients undergoing radiation treatment. This role includes the use of advanced imaging technology and ensuring patient safety during procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by oncologists.
• Utilize various imaging technologies and techniques, including CT simulation and imaging for treatment planning.
• Monitor patient progression and respond to any immediate needs during treatment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and coordinate care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Implement safety protocols and use radiation safety measures in all procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience in a radiation oncology department preferred, but prior experience is not specifically required.
• Proficiency with the Epic charting system is preferred.
