Join Our Team

We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and customer-focused  Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team at a well-maintained 414-unit apartment community in Rockville, Maryland. The ideal candidate will be experienced in apartment maintenance, take pride in delivering quality work, and be committed to providing exceptional service to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant apartment homes.
• Complete work orders promptly and professionally.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance issues.
• Prepare apartments for new residents, including make-ready and turnover work.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections throughout the property.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, grounds, and maintenance facilities.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and company procedures.
• Assist with snow removal and other seasonal property maintenance as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of apartment maintenance or related maintenance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and perform repairs efficiently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of the  Yardi property management platform is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screening, where applicable.
