RN - PreOp-PACU - La Jolla

*This is a Full time (60 hours per pay period), benefited position as a RN in the PreOp-PACU department in our brand new tower at La Jolla Memorial hospital. It has a varied 12 hour shift with the earliest shift possibly being 0430 and the latest shift could start at 1100. The majority of the shifts will start around 0830-1100 not the earlier shift time.*There is a requirement of 1-2 call shifts in a schedule period (4 weeks) and we do have a Saturday required shift in a rotation, but it is very minimal.

Responsibilities include:Provide direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care

Required

• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• Strongly preferred - PreOp -PACU RN experience
• ICU or Emergency department RN experience
• Flexibility with work environments within the department
