• DayShift: 4x10-Hour (08:45 AM - 07:15 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: (2) Weekend Nights (8-12 hours depending on staffing)
• Call Requirement: (1) Summer & (1) Winter Holiday (8-12 hours depending on staffing)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid PA or compact license and demonstrate expertise in scrub and circulate roles, particularly within a Level I Trauma environment. The role requires versatility, as the nurse may float to the GI unit or Center One Surgery Center as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties within the operating room setting, including pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Assist in surgical procedures, maintaining sterile techniques.
• Monitor patient's vital signs and manage care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the Cerner charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Operating Room setting, preferably with trauma and liver/kidney procedures.
• Current PA or compact Registered Nurse license.
• Trauma certification is required.
• BSN degree is mandatory.
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
