Box Truck Driver

Job Description

The Box Truck Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods along daily local routes using GPS and routing software. As an independent driver, this role involves managing timely deliveries, securing loads, and maintaining vehicle condition while interacting professionally with customers. This stable position offers consistent hours and opportunities to develop skills in route navigation and customer service.

Responsibilities

Drive box truck on daily local routes
Plan efficient routes using GPS and routing software
Deliver goods safely and on schedule
Secure loads to prevent damage during transit
Inspect vehicle for safety and maintenance needs
Interact professionally with customers during deliveries
Comply with all safety regulations and company policies
Complete necessary documentation and delivery records
Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience in commercial driving
Non-CDL license
Defensive driving skills
Proficiency in route navigation
Strong time management capabilities
Customer service experience
Knowledge of safety compliance and load securing
