Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical Telemetry

This is a Night 3x12-Hour shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend and holidays as needed. Float is required if needed.

The Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including observation patients and those with respiratory conditions. The candidate will be responsible for managing care related to end-of-life and hospice patients, psychiatric observations, and patients with diabetes complications. The position requires proficient EKG interpretation and passing a mandatory EKG exam during onboarding.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and overall condition.

Manage chest tubes, feeding tubes, and IV lines.

Interpret dysrhythmias and provide appropriate interventions.

Provide care for patients experiencing respiratory difficulties.

Engage in palliative and hospice care for terminal patients.

Participate in rapid response and code team situations when necessary.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.

BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.

NY State RN license required.

Must have experience with Epic charting system.

Previous Charge RN experience preferred.

Must be flexible with scheduling and comply with the zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and absences.

Candidates must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance onboarding.
