Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, Graduate-level degree preferred in healthcare, public health, nursing, human services, law, business, social science, or related discipline. Experience in healthcare systems, academic medical institutions, behavioral health, or other healthcare delivery organizations. Knowledge of healthcare risk management, patient safety, and high-reliability organization principles strongly preferred. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Comfortable working on projects and tasks that do not have a clear start and end point; comfortable working in the “gray” areas. Ability to work both independently and with a team. Demonstrated ability to assess risks and devise solutions in the moment. Demonstrated ability to quickly build rapport with clients and earn the trust of key stakeholders. Ability to deliver critical feedback to clients in a professional manner. Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbal. Excellent task management and organization skills. Excellent presentation skills. Focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure. Technically competent in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Display and maintain well-developed expertise in abuse risk management. Complete and lead assigned projects for a variety of consultation services. Conduct and create basic and advanced training for staff, volunteers, and leadership, and routinely receive above-average training evaluations. Conduct training and presentations (both in-person and virtually) for clients or conferences, and/or other industry events. Serve as SME or presenter for Certified Praesidium Guardian workshops. Contribute to Praesidium’s overall expertise and knowledge base and inform the development of standards, resources, and trainings; innovate service offerings. Provide customized recommendations to clients based on specifically identified exposures within and outside of the Safety Equation. Keep up with changes and new research in abuse risk management in the healthcare industry and share with the Consulting Services and Accreditation teams. Develop and maintain close relationships with clients and prospects and network with professionals in the field. Find ways to stay in contact with clients and provide them with valuable expertise on both formal and informal bases. Cultivate and grow business within the healthcare industry in collaboration with Business Development. Display a high degree of interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with a team, collaborate and work with other Praesidium departments, and resolve conflicts with colleagues. Clearly and professionally write and peer-review client reports, educational or resource material, and provide feedback to clients on documents and policies provided to us in consultation.
