Job Description Job Description CNC Lathe Operator (Entry Level to Experienced) - 2nd Shift Hoosier, Inc. | Full-Time Pay: $18 - $25/hour (based on experience) We're a fast-growing precision CNC machine shop hiring for a 2nd Shift CNC Lathe Operator . We're looking for experienced operators, but we're also open to entry-level candidates who are mechanically inclined, quick learners, and want to build a career in machining . If that's you, we'll train you. This is an opportunity to get hands-on experience, learn a skilled trade, and grow into a long-term career in CNC machining. Key Responsibilities * Operate CNC lathes to produce precision machined parts * Load and unload parts and monitor machine cycles * Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges * Make basic tool offsets and adjustments * Read blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers * Maintain quality standards and production efficiency * Keep work area clean and organized (5S) * Work with setup technicians, programmers, and quality team Qualifications * CNC lathe experience preferred (Mazak, Haas, Doosan, Okuma a plus) * No CNC experience required for entry-level candidates with mechanical aptitude * Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) or willingness to learn * Blueprint reading experience or willingness to learn * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Dependable, team player, strong work ethic Preferred Skills (Not Required) * Experience with GD&T * Basic G-code knowledge * Experience in aerospace or medical machining * Familiarity with tight tolerances and inspection processes Why Join Us * Paid, hands-on training for entry-level candidates * Clear career path to setup, programming, or lead roles * Clean, organized, team-oriented shop * Competitive pay based on experience * Overtime available Shift * 2nd Shift: 3:15 PM - 1:45 AM Keywords (for search visibility): CNC Lathe Operator, CNC Machinist, Machine Operator, Entry Level CNC, No Experience CNC, Manufacturing, Precision Machining, Mazak, Haas, Okuma, Doosan, Blueprint Reading, GD&T, Calipers, Micrometers, G-code, Aerospace Manufacturing
