Job Title: Production Operator

Job Description : safely operate high-heat production equipment used to manufacture various products in a demanding industrial environment. This role involves working at heights of 10–15 feet, wearing a respirator, and consistently lifting 50+ pounds while maintaining strong attention to detail and following all safety procedures.

Shifts : Follow a 4-on, 4-off schedule with 12-hour shifts,

Responsibilities

• Operate high-heat production equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
• Work at heights of 10–15 feet as needed to perform production tasks and equipment operation.
• Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment, including a respirator, hard hat, and steel-toed shoes.
• Handle materials and products that may leave residue and dust on hands, clothing, and equipment.
• Lift, move, and position materials weighing 50+ pounds on a consistent basis throughout the shift.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in a high-heat, dusty production environment.
• Monitor production processes and equipment performance, reporting any issues or abnormalities promptly.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions, production schedules, and safety guidelines with strong attention to detail.
• Support general labor and machine operation tasks as needed to meet production goals.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of experience in general labor, manufacturing, construction, or a similar hands-on work environment.
• Comfort working at heights and performing tasks at 10–15 feet.
• Ability to wear and be fitted for a respirator for extended periods.
• Ability to consistently lift 50+ pounds throughout a 12-hour shift.
• Strong math skills to support production tasks and equipment operation.

Work Environment : The role is based in a high-heat industrial production facility working with carbon products that generate significant black dust and dirt, which can accumulate on hands, clothing, and equipment. The environment is physically demanding and requires comfort with adverse conditions, including heat, residue, and working at heights. Employees must wear appropriate PPE at all times, including a respirator, hard hat, and steel-toed shoes, in accordance with safety guidelines. Shifts follow a 4-on, 4-off schedule with 12-hour shifts, requiring sustained focus and stamina in a hands-on, labor-intensive setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Biddeford, ME.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
