Kitchen Support – Dishwasher TemPositions Eden Hospitality is currently seeking an experienced Dishwasher for a corporate client in NYC. A few points to note about the assignment are: Position is long-term Regular Schedule is Monday to Friday, daytime Full-time hours Qualifications & Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of dishwasher/ kitchen support experience Prior work references are required, 1 of which must be Dishwasher/Kitchen Support related Duties & Responsibilities: Dishwashing & Equipment: Wash, stack, sort, and store all dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware Operate dishwashing machine at correct temperatures with proper detergents Manually wash items that cannot be machine cleaned Use 3-sink method when needed: wash, rinse, sanitize (1-minute minimum sanitizing time) Test and log sanitizer and dish machine temperatures 3 times daily Ensure all items are spotless, sanitized, and air-dried before storage Handle glassware and utensils properly (by handles only, store cups/bowls upside down) Maintain inventory control to prevent waste and loss Kitchen & Facility Maintenance: Maintain clean, dry floors throughout shift with periodic sweeping/mopping, deep clean at close Keep dish area always organized and free of clutter Clean and sanitize storage areas, including freezers and refrigerators Sanitize areas beyond kitchen: employee changing area, lobbies as assigned Clean walls, countertops with proper sanitizers following MSDS guidelines Maintain clean, organized walkways and work areas Waste Management & Organization: Monitor and empty trash cans and compost throughout shift, remove full containers and boxes Manage recycling and compost removal Break down all delivery boxes and organize for disposal Maintain cleanliness of dry storage areas and organization of storage shelves Keep back dock and dumpster areas free from debris Clean and dry all bins, coordinate with building staff for removal Support Duties: Assist with food deliveries and proper storage procedures Stock and manage linens, uniforms, towels, and soiled linen collection Refill paper towels and soap at all handwashing stations Maintain and stock porter's closet, cleaning supplies Set up garbage pails and bags for each station (including compost/recycling) Support team during special events and peak service times Report equipment problems immediately and complete daily/weekly equipment maintenance Benefits: We offer eligible employees competitive pay and access to a range of benefits and support programs based on assignment type, schedule, length of employment, and eligibility requirements, including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, short-term disability, 401(k), employee assistance, childcare assistance, discounts, paid holidays, and longevity bonuses.
