Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill Die Setter positions for a Manufacturing company in Belleville, MI. This is a Temp-to-Hire job. Apply now!

Duties for this position include:

• Set up, adjust, and operate dies, fixtures, and production equipment in accordance with MIOSHA standards and company procedures

• Pre-stage materials and components for die changes while selecting appropriate machine speeds, feeds, and operating parameters

• Perform first-piece inspections to verify dimensional tolerances and ensure products meet customer and company quality standards

• Train production operators and other die setters on equipment operation, setup procedures, quality expectations, and required documentation

• Perform routine preventative maintenance, lubrication, die fastening, and mechanical adjustments using hand tools

• Inspect components for quality defects, including burrs, rust, scrap marks, and other non-conformances

• Report equipment, tooling, or quality concerns to supervisors, maintenance, tool room, or quality personnel

• Participate in 6S initiatives, continuous improvement activities, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Compensation (USD):

$21.50/hour

Schedule:

1st Shift

Monday – Friday

6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

2nd Shift

Monday – Friday

2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Overtime may be required on either shift.

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience

• Previous experience with die setting, stamping presses, or manufacturing equipment preferred

• Ability to use precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, scales, and tape measures

• Ability to read production instructions, labels, and basic technical documents

• Ability to obtain and maintain a company Hilo (forklift) license

• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED Certification within three months of hire

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, twist, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift

• Experience with progressive dies, press automation, coil changes, or die protection systems is a plus

• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and quality
