Route Driver

Warehouse Direct is looking for dependable, customer-focused Route Drivers to join our growing team. If you enjoy being on the road, take pride in providing excellent service, and want to work for a stable, family-owned company, we'd love to hear from you!

As a Route Driver, you'll play a key role in delivering office products, furniture, janitorial supplies, breakroom products, and other workplace essentials to customers throughout the Chicagoland area. You'll represent Warehouse Direct by providing safe, accurate, and friendly deliveries while building positive relationships with our customers.

What You'll Do

• Safely operate a company box truck to deliver products to customer locations.
• Load and unload deliveries while ensuring products arrive safely and in excellent condition.
• Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance concerns.
• Verify deliveries, obtain customer signatures, and complete delivery documentation accurately.
• Provide exceptional customer service during every delivery.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery status or issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle.
• Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous route delivery or commercial driving experience.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move products throughout the workday.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering products in a distribution or warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with handheld scanners or delivery technology.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Experience operating a box truck.
