HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR

SALARY RANGE: $106,000 $116,000 ANNUALLY (DOQE)

The City of East Peoria is accepting applications for the position of Human Resources Director. This position is responsible for overseeing key human resources functions, including benefits administration, risk management, workers compensation, employee relations, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance. The Human Resources Director works closely with City leadership and department heads to provide guidance and support on personnel matters and ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible human resources experience.
3. Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
5. Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR) preferred.
6. Experience in public sector or union environments preferred.
