ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This role involves delivering high-quality critical care in a dynamic environment. The ICU Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing patient-centered care and support for those in critical condition, while collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Caring for patients with complex medical conditions, including those requiring ventilatory support and chest tube management.
• Monitoring and interpreting lab results and vital signs to make informed clinical decisions.
• Assisting in various medical procedures such as CV surgery and neurosurgery.
• Managing and caring for patients with central venous lines (CVL) and external ventricular drains (EVD).
• Providing comprehensive patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.

Requirements

• Must possess extensive experience in critical care nursing, particularly in cardiovascular surgery, trauma, and neurosurgery.
• Proven proficiency in managing ventilators, chest tubes, CVL, and EVD.
• Must be seasoned in travel nursing and adaptable to various clinical environments.
• Weekend shifts are required, totaling six shifts per month as per unit needs.
• Expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2.

Uniform Requirements

The dress code for licensed nursing personnel includes solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire. Print tops are not permitted except in specified departments. Unlicensed personnel must wear solid hunter green uniforms or scrubs.

Shift Details

This position is for the mid shift, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts. Block scheduling is not applicable for this role.
