Novant Health Cancer Institute is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population. What You'll Do
- Build meaningful connections with patients and support their healthcare journey
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care activities
- Collaborate with a supportive, team-oriented healthcare environment focused on excellence
What We're Looking For
Education
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Medical Assistant Certification Required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Candidates must provide proof of current certification from one of the following approved registries:
- CMA American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- CCMA National Health Career Association (NHA)
- RMA American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA)
- National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
- American Allied Health (AAH)
- RMA American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
- If not currently certified, the candidate must:
- Obtain certification or registration by the end of the 6th month of hire
- Sign an education agreement
Experience
- Previous medical office experience Preferred
- Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096
Licensure / Certification
Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire Required
Life Support Training per NH-HR-3096 Required
Current State Driver's License Required (Palliative Care roles only)
