Job Full Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support the safe and efficient operation of a power plant facility. This role is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment critical to plant operations. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, experience in industrial environments, and a commitment to safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment including pumps, valves, compressors, turbines, conveyors, and boilers
Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement timely corrective actions to minimize downtime
Conduct preventive maintenance according to established schedules and procedures
Inspect machinery for wear, damage, or potential failure and document findings
Assist with installation, alignment, and calibration of new or rebuilt equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders
Follow all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and plant procedures
Collaborate with operations and electrical teams to ensure smooth plant performance

Additional Requirements:

Must possess a valid Louisiana Driver's License
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
