Admissions Coordinator

Admissions Coordinator Coordinates the Admissions Department activities in the pre-admission, admission, discharge and follow up processes. Entry qualifications include a minimum two (2) year degree required; four (4) year degree preferred. Minimum of three (3) years experience in actual healthcare sales/marketing/insurance. Must have basic understanding of sales and marketing processes. Must be familiar with medical terminology. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Work, Excel, PowerPoint). Essential duties and responsibilities include coordinating resident/patient referral approval process, conducting tours of facility with potential residents/patients and their family members, ensuring an 80% conversion ratio of tours to admissions, ensuring level of care approval obtained as indicated and OBRA screen (PASSAR, MIMR) is completed, tracking pre-admission referral activity daily/weekly, assisting the Admissions Director with arrangements and confirmation of all admissions, notifying departments of anticipated admission, ensuring specialized equipment is ordered as indicated from admissions screening and assessment, reviewing insurance contract content for need to obtain prior approval from authorized payer, completing records and documentation in accordance with Company policy and State and/or Federal guidelines, and assisting with facility sponsored events and family meetings to promote skilled services. #J-18808-Ljbffr
