Master Welder – Houston, TX Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM). Compensation: $32 / hour. Join our team as a Master Welder and bring your expertise in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding to a high‑quality manufacturing environment. Work on a variety of metals, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, performing precision welding, repairs, and fabrication. Key Responsibilities Weld various metals using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW processes. Check and prepare pipe or structural pieces for welding, accounting for shrinkage. Repair castings, gouges, leaks, and other components. Operate welding and gas equipment safely, including acetylene and electrical setups. Assist pipe fitters with pipe installation, preparation, and fabrication. Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and welding symbols. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with government and company standards. Perform minor equipment repairs and maintain welding tools and gas equipment. Required Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 5–10 years of welding experience in industrial or manufacturing settings. Proficient in welding techniques, fluxes, rods, and weld shrinkage management. Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and welding symbols. Knowledge of metal properties, machining, and welding safety standards. Strong mechanical ability and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Welding certification preferred or required.
