Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job

Overview Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Telemetry travel assignment in Rome, NY. Start 06/29/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $1,824–$1,900 per week. Shift is three 12-hour day shifts (07:00–19:30). Work in a hospital setting with floating to Medical‑Surgical/Telemetry as needed. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,824–$1,900 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00–19:30) Start date: 06/29/2026 Travel assignment in a hospital setting Floating to Med Surg/Telemetry required Responsibilities Provide direct patient care for Med Surg and Telemetry patients, including comprehensive nursing assessments, care planning, and implementation of interventions. Monitor cardiac telemetry, interpret EKG strips, and administer or titrate cardiac medications and drips per physician orders. Perform wound care and maintain venous access with strong IV skills; manage IV infusions and medications. Respond to acute changes in patient condition; participate in appropriate protocols (including NIH Stroke Protocol) and maintain patient safety. Collaborate with physicians, PAs/NPs, and the care team; coordinate care while floating to Med Surg units as needed. Document accurately in the electronic health record; ensure clear handoffs and adherence to hospital policies. Requirements Active New York State RN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. NIH Stroke Certification required before start. Minimum 2 years of current RN experience; travel experience preferred. Ability to float to Med Surg/Telemetry and read EKG strips; strong IV skills; comfortable with cardiac drips. Effective communication and teamwork in a fast‑paced hospital setting. Benefits and Support Orientation includes 8 hours of CEUs. Admin fee deducted from rate.
