Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited school of social work Understanding of the biopsychosocial and cultural factors involved in clinical social work practice Knowledge of social work procedures, systems, and organizational objectives Strong knowledge of community resources Familiarity with the current health care environment Ability to gather, analyze, synthesize, and summarize relevant information to support patient care decisions Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with hospital staff, agency health care professionals, patients, and families Strong clinical skills in delivering social work services in a mental health or health care setting Ability to identify organizational barriers and recommend improvements to enhance patient care Must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners at the LCSW-C level Are licensed to practice social work in another state or hold comparable social work qualifications in another jurisdiction, and Have an application for licensure pending before the Board, or Work Experience ~ One year of experience providing clinical social work services, preferably in a mental health or health care setting; internship experience may be considered Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
