Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Long Term Care (LTC) in Hamlin, TX. Location: Hamlin, TX. Shift Type: Days. Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours guaranteed per week. Weekend Requirement: None. On-Call Requirement: None. Assignment Length: 13-week contract. Assignment Dates: Start Date TBD – End Date TBD. Assignment Type: Temp to perm (opportunity to extend or convert to permanent). Pay Rate: $60.00 per hour. Position Overview The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic care to patients in a long-term care setting. This role focuses on improving patient mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional ability through prescribed therapeutic interventions. Primary Responsibilities Treat patients through therapeutic exercises, massage, gait training, and balance training Implement treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist Monitor and document patient progress and response to therapy Report treatment outcomes and patient status to the Physical Therapist Support patient safety and adherence to care plans Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Required Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) experience Active Texas PTA license or compact license (required) Ability to work full-time day shifts in a long-term care environment Strong communication and documentation skills References are not required at the time of submission.
