Pay: $17.00 - $18.00/hr
Shift: 5:30am - 2:00pm Monday - Friday, OT as needed
Location: Hammond, IN

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Shipping Clerk for our logistics client at Wolf Lake Terminals in Hammond, IN to start immediately. Enjoy competitive wages and comprehensive benefits through ITS upon hire!

Responsibilities

• Operate truck scale equipment to record accurate weights for all truck movements.
• Prepare shipping documents including Bills of Lading, Certificates of Analysis, Scale Tickets, Labels, ISO forms, and reports.
• Verify and document load details, product types, lot numbers, seals, and carrier info.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper records per quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Support traceability, lot control, and documentation for food safety and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with operations, maintenance, quality, and customer service teams.
• Support safety initiatives and participate in training programs.
• Assist with customer complaints and corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and manage switch lists and track railcar movements.
• Verify railcar info, generate related paperwork, and maintain historical logs.
• Monitor rail inventory and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Serve as a liaison between terminal staff, railroads, and logistics teams.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Basic math proficiency and calculator skills.
• Experience in shipping/receiving, quality control, or clerical roles preferred.
• Knowledge of railcar operations and safety protocols is a plus.

Skills

• Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Truck scale operation and load documentation.
• Knowledge of Bill of Lading, Certificates of Analysis, Scale Tickets, Labels, and ISO forms.
• Experience with Continuity software and food safety standards (GMPs, HACCP).
• Railcar inspection, tracking, and safety procedures.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform general math.
