Mechanical Assembly Documentation SpecialistCreate mechanical assembly drawings for inverter products, power conversion systems, and related subassemblies.Generate manufacturing documentation using existing Creo CAD models, engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and work instructions.Develop exploded assembly views, fabrication drawings, installation documentation, and visual manufacturing aids.Create and maintain production-ready assembly documentation to support manufacturing, service, and production teams.Verify documentation against released engineering drawings and CAD models to ensure accuracy and compliance.Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and revision-controlled documentation updates.Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and production teams to improve documentation quality and usability.Create documentation for sheet metal, machined, welded, plastic, and electromechanical assemblies. Based on the source content regarding manufacturing documentation and assembly support.Develop assembly instructions involving fasteners, adhesives, sealants, gasketing, and related assembly processes. Based on the source content regarding manufacturing documentation and assembly support.Organize and maintain engineering documentation within PLM and document management systems.Creo, GD&T, mechanical assembly, design for manufacturing, power electronics, thermal management, battery energy storage systems, industrial equipmentAssociate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.3+ years of experience creating mechanical assembly drawings and manufacturing documentation.Proficiency with Creo CAD.Experience creating assembly drawings, exploded views, fabrication drawings, installation documentation, and manufacturing work instructions.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, BOMs, specifications, and revision-controlled documentation.Understanding of GD&T and mechanical drafting standards.Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or industrial environments.Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, machining, welding, plastic molding, and mechanical assembly processes.Understanding of adhesives, sealants, gasketing, and assembly best practices. Based on the source qualification content regarding adhesives/sealants.Familiarity with PLM systems, preferably Windchill.Experience supporting ECOs, engineering change management, and document control processes.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills.Intermediate LevelThis is a Contract position based out of Poway, CA.The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
