Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 per year A bit about us: We are partnering with a growing industrial services and distribution organization that supports complex, high-performance operations across multiple locations. The company operates in a fast-moving, operationally driven environment where accounting plays a critical role in supporting leadership, improving processes, and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting. This is an opportunity to step into a visible Assistant Controller role, working closely with senior finance leadership, gaining exposure to multi-entity accounting, and helping strengthen controls, reporting, and close processes as the business continues to scale. 2. Oversee the preparation and monitoring of the annual operating budget to ensure that the company's financial goals are met.
3. Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and regulatory compliance in all accounting operations.
4. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance. Provide necessary assistance to the audit team and implement their recommendations in a timely manner.
5. Leverage large ERP systems, preferably Epicor, to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
6. Develop, implement, and maintain internal financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
7. Participate in the development of the company's strategic plans and programs as a strategic partner. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role within a large organization; experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
3. Proficiency in using large ERP systems, preferably Epicor.
4. Strong understanding of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting.
5. Demonstrated experience in the preparation and monitoring of annual operating budgets.
6. Proven ability in implementing internal controls and providing audit assistance.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-judged decisions.
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
9. Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving financial objectives.
