Registered Nurse - CVICU

Location: San Antonio, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (rotating weekends)

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our CVICU team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and be proficient in monitoring hemodynamics and managing ventilators for cardiovascular patients. This role requires candidates to float as per the hospital policy, ensuring high-quality patient care at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the CVICU.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and manage ventilator support.
• Administer medications and therapies to critically ill patients.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and policies at all times.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• RN License - must have an active Texas RN license (no temp licenses accepted).
• 2+ years of ICU nursing experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification required.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with IABP, CRRT, and Meditech charting.
• Familiarity with post-operative care for CABG and VAD patients.
