Job Description – Plant Office Admin/Scale Clerk Operator (260001DD) Vulcan Materials Company is the nation’s largest producer of construction aggregates and a major producer of aggregates-based construction materials including asphalt and ready‑mixed concrete. Location Virginia‑Warrenton, VA Schedule Full‑time: Approximate schedule 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years in a customer service role; experience in an aggregate or scale house setting preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time‑management, self‑motivation, reliability, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Oracle Business Environment, and related software. Willingness to work overtime, extended hours, and outside in all weather conditions and loud noises. Ability to maintain a cash fund, handle cash sales, and prepare/operate scales and truck scales; weigh and record incoming materials such as gasoline, diesel fuel, explosives, and scrap sales. Provide excellent customer service, greet customers, bill transactions, resolve issues, and direct customers to piles. Maintain cash fund accuracy and report discrepancies; maintain the office in a neat, professional manner; answer phones and handle office duties as requested. Champion safety in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards. Compensation Base salary: $19.22 – $28.79 per hour; discretionary bonus and equity package not included.
