Stem Cell Senior Research Associate

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Senior Research Associate to lead stem cell culture and differentiation work for research programs in Boston. Responsibilities
- Culture human stem cells in 2D and 3D formats for research projects
- Execute experiments reliably and consistently while following standard operating procedures
- Analyze experimental data, interpret outcomes, and troubleshoot technical issues
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and consistency
- Communicate results clearly through laboratory documentation and team discussions
Requirements
- Master's degree in biological sciences with 0-2 years relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with 4+ years experience
- Advanced human cell culture techniques and stem cell differentiation protocols
- Strong attention to detail, SOP compliance, and laboratory best practices
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts as needed
- Technical proficiency in experimental design, execution, and data interpretation
- Collaborative teamwork skills and adaptability to timeline-driven environments
Compensation: $74,800 - $112,200 base
