The organization is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a position at the children's hospital located in Norfolk, Virginia. This role involves providing specialized emergency care for pediatric patients in a fast-paced, hospital environment, with a focus on acute treatment and critical procedures.

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Pediatric (ER PEDS)
• Location: Norfolk, VA
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications: PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); BLS (Basic Life Support); CERT-Crisis Prevention Intervention; TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course); ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required
• Certifications must be current and valid for the duration of the assignment.
• Experience: At least 2 years of pediatric emergency room experience required, with specific skills in triage, moderate sedations, breathing treatments, and various emergency procedures.
• Responsibilities include providing patient assessment, emergency interventions, and utilizing ancillary staff such as techs and LPNs/LVNs.
• Required qualifications include RN license (Compact license accepted).
• No float rotation required.
• Additional clinical procedures include blood administration, cardioversion, blood gas management, and ventilator care.
