Strategic Sourcing Analyst - Manufacturing

My client is a fast growing medical device manufacturer located in the NW Suburbs of Chicago. This role is open due to growth within the company.

Job Description

• Analyze direct and indirect spend data to identify cost?reduction, risk?mitigation, and supplier?rationalization opportunities
• Support sourcing strategies for raw materials, components, and outsourced services in alignment with business and product lifecycle needs
• Build and maintain advanced cost models, should?cost analyses, and total cost of ownership evaluations
• Conduct supplier financial, capacity, and performance analysis to support sourcing and negotiation strategies
• Track commodity trends, market dynamics, and supplier cost drivers impacting pricing and availability
• Support RFQs, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations using data?driven insights
• Develop dashboards and reporting to track savings, supplier performance, and sourcing KPIs
• Partner cross?functionally to support new product introductions, supplier qualifications, and change management initiatives
• Ensure sourcing activities align with quality, regulatory, and compliance requirements common to medical device manufacturing

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field
• 3-6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain analytics, preferably within medical devices or regulated manufacturing
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency; experience with ERPs, BI tools, and spend analytics platforms preferred
• Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable sourcing insights and recommendations
• Solid understanding of supplier cost structures, market dynamics, and sourcing best practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to support cross?functional stakeholders
• Experience working in FDA?regulated or ISO?compliant environments is a plus
