Associate Tax Director - State and Local Income TaxLinde Inc.Danbury, CT, United States | req27997What you will enjoy doingManage all activities regarding state and local income tax compliance, state tax research, and tax planning as required of the organizationManage and review State and City income tax estimates, extensions, and return preparationsEnsure timely and accurate payments, application/requests for refunds, and return filingsReview apportionment, nexus, and sourcing analysisCompile and review Tax Accounting state calculations for external reporting, per ASC 740Research and resolve state and city technical issuesSupport and manage State and local tax audits and inquiries, including identifying and quantifying tax riskCompile and review research related to mergers & acquisitions, potential credits and incentives, and overall state footprint planningIdentify, recommend, and assist in implementation of policy, process, and digitization improvements to streamline processes, improve analysis, and create more valuable output for stakeholdersMonitor and implement changes that result from legislative updates and changes in state tax lawsProvide supervision for staff including training, mentoring, and professional developmentWhat makes you greatBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA and/or a Master of Tax is strongly preferredTen to twelve (10-12) years of experience including 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in public accounting, and/or detailed tax experience in a mid to large size corporationPossess detailed understanding of state tax rules and demonstrable experience managing extensive and complex state footprints for large international companiesKnowledge of ASC 740 Tax AccountingSystems experience with Hyperion, CORE, SAP, JDE, CORPTAX (U.S. Compliance) preferredAbility to work cross functionally within overall Tax and Finance TeamAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingStrong project management skillsMust be highly organized and a strong team playerWhy you will love working with usLinde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company, operating in more than 100 countries worldwide.
