Employment Specialist

Express Employment Professionals of Fargo, ND is partnering with a mission-driven organization seeking an Employment Specialist to help connect individuals with disabilities to meaningful employment opportunities while providing ongoing support to ensure long-term success.


This role combines employment placement, scheduling, client support, and community outreach. The ideal candidate is organized, relationship-focused, and passionate about helping others achieve greater independence through employment.


Key Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with local employers and identify employment opportunities for program participants.
• Coordinate job placements and assist individuals in transitioning successfully into the workplace.
• Manage schedules and staffing assignments to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Conduct workplace visits and quality checks to support positive outcomes for both participants and employers.
• Respond to staffing concerns and provide support when schedule changes or coverage issues arise.
• Serve as a liaison between participants, employers, families, and internal team members.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with program requirements.
• Promote participant success through coaching, encouragement, and ongoing support.

• Previous experience in vocational rehabilitation, disability services, case management, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build professional relationships with employers and community partners.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient with basic computer systems and documentation.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

• Primarily Monday-Friday daytime hours.
• Occasional evening, weekend, and on-call responsibilities may be required to support program needs.

• $50,000-$55,000+ annually, depending on experience.
