Position: Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care while promoting health, preventing illness and injury, and supporting patients and their families. The RN will follow the New York State Nurse Practice Act , facility policies, ANA standards, and applicable nursing regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Serve as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment and patient needs.
• Administer medications safely in accordance with facility policies.
• Educate patients and families regarding health promotion and disease management.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrate effective time management and appropriate use of staffing, supplies, and other resources.
• Follow all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, safety procedures, and facility policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, Unit Council activities, shared governance, and peer review.
• Maintain professional development and complete required continuing education and mandatory training.
• Apply current nursing research and evidence-based practices to patient care.
• Support and mentor new employees and nursing students.
• Promote a caring, healing, and patient-centered environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program .
• Current New York State RN License .
• Current BLS certification from AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross.
• At least 6 months of RN experience .
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent judgment and critical-thinking abilities.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Problem-solving, reliability, quality, and safety-focused mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute-care or ambulatory setting .
• BSN preferred.
• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty.
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC , depending on the assigned unit.
