Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ educational journeys as an Instructional Assistant in a dynamic school environment. This contract position is based in a supportive setting, providing specialized assistance to students with significant needs. Ideal candidates will have firsthand experience working with behaviors, autism, or medically fragile students and will demonstrate patience, resilience, and exceptional classroom skills.

Key Qualifications:

• At least 1.5 years of direct classroom experience supporting students with behavioral challenges, autism, or medical fragility
• In-depth training and a proven track record managing severe caseloads
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
• Ability to implement individualized strategies and accommodations
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support and encouragement to students during instructional and non-instructional periods
• Assist with daily classroom routines, behavioral interventions, and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
• Support students in achieving academic, social, and emotional goals
• Communicate consistently with classroom teachers, therapists, and parents/guardians regarding progress
• Maintain a safe, structured, and respectful environment for all students
• Respond flexibly to changing needs in a fast-paced, high-demand setting
