Job Description
This role focuses on assembling electromechanical equipment used in electrical power solutions across the power market. You will work with mechanical components, hand and power tools, and learn basic electrical assembly tasks to support the production of high-quality power equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks using a variety of hand and power tools, including torque guns and manual torque tools.
- Measure components and layouts accurately using a tape measure to ensure precise assembly and fit.
- Mount heavy components such as breakers, transformers, busway, and contactors safely and correctly.
- Install sheet metal panels, doors, and related components, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Assist with punching, aligning, and bolting copper and aluminum busbar according to work instructions and mechanical prints.
- Follow detailed work instructions, mechanical blueprints, and production documentation during assembly.
- Support basic electrical assembly tasks after training, including using crimp connectors, ferrule blocks, and terminal strips.
- Bundle and route cables neatly, including zip-tying and maintaining clean wire routing along wireways after training.
- Collaborate with team members to solve problems, improve processes, and maintain production quality and efficiency.
- Work safely in both climate-controlled and non–climate-controlled areas, following all safety and equipment guidelines.
- Adapt to varying production demands, including extended shifts when needed, while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools, including torque guns and manual torque tools.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately as a core requirement.
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, carpentry, or a similar hands-on environment.
- Strong mechanical skills and comfort working with mechanical assemblies and components.
- Capability to stand for up to 12-hour days as required by production demands.
- Ability to mount heavy components such as breakers, transformers, busway, and contactors safely.
- Experience installing sheet metal panels and doors in a production or construction environment.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate and support others.
- Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to learning and problem solving.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with switchboard or low-voltage power circuit breaker switchgear is a strong plus.
- Ability to read mechanical prints and blueprints is a strong advantage.
- Exposure to electrical skills and schematic interpretation is beneficial but not required.
- Experience in assembly, electronic assembly, or general production work.
- Experience in construction, carpentry, or related trades.
- Familiarity with work instructions and production processes in industrial environments.
- Experience in environments such as waste management, CNC, or other industrial settings is helpful.
- Willingness to be trained on electrical tasks including crimp connectors, ferrule blocks, and terminal strips.
- Willingness to be trained on cable bundling, zip-tying, and clean wire routing along wireways.

Work Environment
The work environment is diverse and inclusive, welcoming individuals who are comfortable communicating in Spanish or other languages. You will work in a mix of outdoor/non–climate-controlled and climate-controlled areas and should be open to all types of environments. Standard hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a typical workweek of 40–50 hours and the possibility of 12-hour shifts depending on production needs. Steel-toe footwear is required and provided with an annual allowance when you move into a direct role. You should not bring your own tools, as all necessary tools and equipment are supplied on-site. The setting is a hands-on industrial production environment using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly equipment, with an emphasis on safety, teamwork, and consistent production quality.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
