Pharmacy TechnicianThis Pharmacy Technician role offers an excellent opportunity to build or advance your career in an up-and-coming mail order pharmacy environment. You will operate and maintain automated dispensing equipment, prepare and package medications with precision, and support safe and efficient pharmacy operations. The role combines hands-on technical work with strong customer service and teamwork, and welcomes candidates with no prior experience who are eager to learn and grow.ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain automated dispensing equipment to support accurate and efficient medication fulfillment.Prepare, count, label, and package medications with precision and care, following all pharmacy protocols.Perform quality control checks on medications and orders to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance.Adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal regulations.Support warehouse operations related to pharmacy fulfillment, including shipping, receiving, and distribution activities as needed.Assist with organization and workflow in a warehouse or fulfillment environment to ensure timely order processing.Collaborate with a supportive pharmacy and warehouse team to deliver high-quality service to patients and customers.Provide courteous and professional customer service, responding to inquiries and supporting patient needs as appropriate.Maintain accurate records and documentation related to medication preparation, dispensing, and shipping.Protect patient confidentiality and handle all information in accordance with privacy requirements.Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within established deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Follow safety guidelines and best practices to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Eligibility for or possession of a Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license (can be obtained upon hire using the state registration process).Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in medication preparation and order fulfillment.Solid organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a pharmacy and warehouse setting.Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively as part of a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with team members and customers.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information appropriately.Capability to stand for an 8-hour shift and perform repetitive tasks in a fulfillment environment.Customer service skills suitable for a retail or pharmacy setting.Basic comfort working with automated dispensing equipment and related technology (training provided).Additional Skills & QualificationsNo prior experience required; on-the-job training provided for motivated candidates.Experience in retail pharmacy, retail environments, or customer-facing roles is beneficial.In warehouse operations, warehouse shipping, warehouse distribution, or fulfillment is an advantage.Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse or distribution setting is helpful.Registered or Certified Pharmacy Technician status in Kentucky is a plus and may support higher compensation levels.Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.Comfort working in a structured, process-driven environment with defined procedures and regulations.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a mail order pharmacy operating within a warehouse and fulfillment environment. You will work around automated dispensing equipment, medication packaging stations, and shipping and receiving areas. The setting is fast-paced and process-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance. Team members typically work full 8-hour shifts, with core schedules such as 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, depending on operational needs. The position requires standing for most of the shift and performing repetitive tasks in a clean, organized facility. You will collaborate closely with a supportive team that values professionalism, attention to detail, and high-quality patient service, while working with standard warehouse and pharmacy technologies and equipment.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southgate, KY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
