Acute Care Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift: 5x8 hours, Tuesday to Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

We are seeking a dedicated Acute Care Physical Therapist to provide essential rehabilitation services in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population requiring evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitative care to improve physical mobility and ensure optimal recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Implement therapy interventions to enhance patient mobility and recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and safety practices.
• Assess and manage patient pain and adapt treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in acute care settings.
• Current Physical Therapist license in California.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience with AROM, AAROM, PROM, and various assistive devices.
• Knowledge of orthopedic and geriatric patient care practices.
