Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Nights, location unspecified. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients on a Medical Surgical unit, handling a variety of diagnoses including Cardiac, Urology, ENT, and others. The role requires adherence to unit protocols, including patient turning and titration of drips, in a fast-paced acute care environment. Job Details Position Description: Unit notes specify that applicants must meet certain submission requirements, including holding a valid drivers license outside a 50-mile radius from the facility. Previous permanent or travel clinicians must meet specific time-out periods before reapplying. Unit is composed of OBS 6N & 6C (Stepdown & Floor) beds, with ratios generally around 1:5-6, potentially moving to 1:4. Required Qualifications: Valid licensure and willingness to wait for license submission; BLS and ACLS certifications; minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting; the ability to read and interpret telemetry strips; and experience handling titratable drips including Heparin. Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, approximately 36 hours per week, with weekend, holiday, and call responsibilities as scheduled. Additional Information: The unit performs frequent patient turning (10-12 times daily), and nurses are expected to manage titrating drips and interpreting telemetry strips. RT coverage is available 24/7, but no ventilator management is required. Certifications: ACLS and BLS are mandatory.
