Precision Hire has partnered with a nationwide HVAC rental company operating 30+ branches across the U.S., providing best-in-class cooling, heating, dehumidification, and power solutions for mission-critical facilities, major events, healthcare, data centers, and industrial applications.

We are seeking a Senior Chiller Technician to serve as the technical authority at the branch level and the go-to expert for chiller maintenance, testing, and repairs within the company's owned rental fleet.

This is not a building service role.

You will work out of the branch and on temporary rental installationsnot on permanent HVAC systems inside customer buildings.

What You'll Do

• Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of large-tonnage chillers and air-conditioning rental equipment
• Serve as the primary technical expert for chillers at the branch
• Support temporary installations at customer sites (data centers, healthcare, events, industrial facilities)
• Perform pre-deployment inspections and post-rental evaluations
• Assist with special projects, including obsolete part sourcing and equipment upgrades
• Support fleet modernization initiatives (including remote monitoring systems)
• Mentor and train junior chiller and service technicians
• Collaborate with operations and turnkey installation teams
• Maintain accurate service documentation and reports

What We're Looking For

• 57+ years of hands-on experience with large-tonnage HVAC and chiller equipment
• Universal EPA Certification (required)
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on complex systems
• Proven ability to work independently and lead by example
• Willingness to travel occasionally and support on-call rotations
• Comfortable using service software, ERP systems, and basic reporting tools
• Valid driver's license, clean MVR, and ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. safely
