Transportation Data Analyst

Our client, a transportation and logistics-focused organization, is seeking a Data Analyst (Fleet & Transportation Systems) to join their team. As a Data Analyst, you will be part of the Fleet Analytics function supporting Operations and Maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, problem‑solving abilities, and effective communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Data Analyst (Fleet & Transportation Systems) Location: Decatur, IL area (ON SITE) Pay Range: $40/hour (flexible based on experience) What’s the Job? Analyze and interpret fleet and transportation data from systems (e.g., TMS, telematics platforms) to support operational decision‑making Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor maintenance trends, downtime, and asset utilization Conduct trend analysis on repairs and maintenance data to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to deliver actionable, data‑driven insights Ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems through validation and issue resolution What’s Needed? Strong proficiency in Excel and Power BI (or similar data visualization tools) Experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis Knowledge of fleet, transportation, or maintenance data (preferred) Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities What’s in it for me?
