Join us and be part of a company where your contributions make a difference every day.Duties & Primary Responsibilities:The Fleet Mechanic Helper is an entry-level, hands-on position supporting our fleet mechanics in the inspection, preventive maintenance and repair of company vehicles and equipment. The employee will work alongside experienced mechanics on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles, trailers, forklifts and other company equipment.Assist mechanics with preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs on company vehicles, trucks, trailers, forklifts and equipment.Perform or assist with oil and filter changes, lubrication, fluid checks, batteries, lights, tires and other routine maintenance appropriate to experience and training.Assist with removal, installation and replacement of vehicle and equipment components.Retrieve and stage tools, parts and supplies needed for repairs.Maintain parts, tool and equipment inventories and help track work orders.Move vehicles and equipment into and out of the shop and transport vehicles as needed.Clean parts, tools, equipment and work areas and maintain an organized, safe shop.Learn proper maintenance procedures, use of shop equipment and basic diagnostic/troubleshooting techniques.Follow company safety procedures and properly use required PPE.All Young Supply employees are required to comply with Federal, State and company policies, procedures and regulations.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
