Technical Support Specialist and Senior Technical Support Specialist We are partnering with a Confidential Global Designer and Manufacturer of Adhesives and other Engineered Materials that is hiring for both a Technical Support Specialist and Senior Technical Support Specialist. Company Highlights Global manufacturer of advanced adhesive tapes, films, and functional materials Serves the electronics and technology industries including top Bay Area consumer electronics brand names as an approved supplier Strong R&D and manufacturing capabilities Products support applications including consumer electronics, batteries, mobile devices, motors, and other high-performance electronic products Broad portfolio of specialty adhesive, film, conductive, thermal, protective, and functional material solutions Global organization serving major technology and electronics manufacturers Position Highlights Customer-facing technical and applications support role Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Quality, R&D, and Manufacturing Develop technical relationships with OEM, ODM, and manufacturing customers Opportunity to support advanced material applications within the electronics industry Advanced degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. PhD degree preferred Zero to 2+ years of experience in technical support, applications engineering, product engineering, quality engineering, field applications, or a similar customer-facing technical role preferred Experience in electronics, electronic materials, adhesives, tapes, films, batteries, semiconductors, automotive electronics, or consumer electronics is highly desirable Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, test data, and customer requirements Experience working directly with engineering and technical personnel at OEM or manufacturing customers preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple customer issues and projects simultaneously Strong organizational and documentation skills Comfortable working with global technical teams across different regions and time zones Ability to travel to customer locations as required Job Responsibilities Provide technical and application support for adhesive tapes, films, conductive materials, and related products Work directly with customer engineering, quality, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to understand application requirements and recommend appropriate product solutions Troubleshoot issues involving product performance, application methods, material compatibility, adhesion, thermal performance, conductivity, environmental exposure, and manufacturing processes Support customer product evaluations, testing, qualification, and implementation Respond to customer technical questions regarding product specifications, performance characteristics, application requirements, and proper product usage Partner with Sales during customer meetings, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and new business opportunities Coordinate customer technical issues with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and technical teams Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions Gather customer feedback and application requirements to identify opportunities for product improvements and new product development Prepare technical reports, product recommendations, application documentation, and customer presentations Maintain accurate documentation of customer technical issues, testing activities, recommendations, and resolutions Build strong technical relationships with engineers and key contacts at OEM, ODM, and manufacturing customers What is Being Offered Challenge: Serve as a trusted technical resource for customers and help solve complex material and application challenges Advancement: Opportunity to contribute to customer qualifications, product development, and new business initiatives Money: Base compensation $100k to $175k+ depending upon experience and background and eligibility for annual bonus plus yearly merit increases based upon performance in the role People / Culture: Collaborative, cross-functional environment working with Sales, Engineering, Quality, R&D, and Manufacturing Stability: Opportunity to join a global organization supporting established electronics and technology markets Opportunity to work with advanced materials used in high-performance electronic applications #J-18808-Ljbffr SCN - Search Consulting Network
