• Floating: May float to other Med/Surg units as needed
• Orientation: 1 shift with a preceptor
• Unit Focus: Post-surgical, ortho, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative, hospice, and end-of-life patient care

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and scheduled weekends
• Experience caring for a diverse medical-surgical patient population, including higher-acuity and end-of-life patients
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
• Ability to adapt to self-scheduling and changing unit needs

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg and acute care patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in Cerner
• Support patients and families with education, comfort, and compassionate bedside care
• Maintain a professional, patient-first approach while contributing to a collaborative nursing team
