C3 AI delivers a family of fully integrated products including the C3 Agentic AI Platform, an end-to-end platform for developing, deploying, and operating enterprise AI applications, C3 AI applications, a portfolio of industry-specific SaaS enterprise AI applications that enable the digital transformation of organizations globally, and C3 Generative AI, a suite of domain-specific generative AI offerings for the enterprise.
C3 AI is hiring a Senior Director, Strategic Solutions for our Department of Defense Sector, focusing on the U.S. Space Force and the broader national security space enterprise, including Space Operations Command (SpOC), Space Systems Command (SSC), Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM), the Space Development Agency (SDA), and U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM). This is a quota-based sales opportunity to drive customer adoption with a rapidly growing leader in Enterprise AI software. You will work with senior leaders, mission partners, and prime contractors to develop high-value AI use cases and AI application roadmaps. You will help the Space Force achieve its digital transformation and warfighting modernization objectives by identifying and capturing high-value opportunities.

Candidates should be able to understand complex issues at the intersection of mission, business, and technology and communicate that complexity with simplicity. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance, highly collaborative environment and demonstrate an ability to execute precisely and quickly. Candidates should possess technical fluency in AI, machine learning, engineering, data integration, or computer science.
Responsibilities:
- Establish new customer relationships across the U.S. Space Force and national security space enterprise through prospecting and closing opportunities.
- Maintain a pipeline of opportunities to support business unit goals.
- Consult with Space Force commands and defense agencies to help them understand, structure, and implement their digital transformation and modernization strategies.
- Engage in strategic relationships with senior leaders to assure the realization of their mission and modernization goals.
- Develop, maintain, and manage the implementation of strategic customer engagement plans.
- Establish a strategic sales plan by researching and identifying customer prospects and targets across the space domain.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, products, and marketing teams to develop new product offerings within existing and new lines of business.
- Represent C3 AI by driving business development with company alliance partners and prime contractors supporting Space Force programs.
- Personally engage in strategic account selling, business development, and ongoing customer success.
- Travel to customer sites up to 30% of the time (or more) depending on business needs.
Qualifications:
- Degree in engineering, science, computer science, or a related technical field of study. Master's or MBA degree preferred.
- Deep understanding of and sales experience with the U.S. Space Force and/or the national security space enterprise (e.g., SpOC, SSC, STARCOM, SDA, USSPACECOM).
- Proven track record of success in sales with a focus on selling SaaS solutions to the Department of Defense.
- Proven track record of establishing new customers and bringing new technologies to the U.S. Space Force or broader DoD space community.
- Strong understanding of the federal government procurement process and DoD contracting vehicles (e.g., GSA Schedule, GWACs, IDIQs, OTAs, SBIR/STTR).
- Deep knowledge of AI technology, data analytics, and its applications within the defense and space sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining relationships with senior-level decision-makers in the Department of Defense.
- Experience with and understanding of AI and Machine Learning is highly favorable.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Sales consulting or management consulting experience preferred.
- Active Secret security clearance required, with the ability to obtain a higher-level clearance (e.g., TS/SCI) as needed.
