HR Business Partner

Salary: $67,718.00 - $85,000.00 Annually Application Deadline: Sep 24, 2026 Human Resources Works across all levels and departments within the organization to promote a positive and productive workplace through the coaching and development of both management and employees in areas such as benefits, policies, procedures, HRIS reporting, and DEI. Major Duties and Responsibilities Provides advice and counsel to managers on employment relation matters Oversees the performance management process to ensure employees are receiving effective coaching and feedback from their supervisors. Works with managers to take disciplinary action, including verbal/written notices and terminations. Administers the performance management system. Investigates employee complaints, provides recommendations and ensures agreed upon actions are implemented to resolve the complaint. Assists in creation and updating of job descriptions Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation Lead the talent acquisition process including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants. Ensure legal compliance with applicable HR-related laws and regulations such as, but not limited to FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, EEOC, FMLA, FLSA and other federal, state and local laws. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Understand and interpret various employment laws such as, but not limited to FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, EEOC, FMLA, FLSA and other federal, state and local laws. Provide regular HR reporting. Other Duties Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control Exhibit Blaze's Core Value's: Better Lives, Thoughtfully Compassionate, Minnesota's Best, and Give Back Regular and predictable attendance Perform other duties as assigned to support effective department operation Requirements Job Requirements Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressively more complex HR responsibilities. Minimum degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, HRCI) is preferred. Demonstrated Knowledge Strong knowledge of HR practices and principles. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and management. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Communication Skills Ability to lead and/or be the subject matter expert for member/staff processes; exert regional influence or corporate knowledge sharing. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal staff and public on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs.
